F.A.Q.

Should I shop my insurance every year?

No, you shouldn’t every year. Carriers often give better rates to those who have 3-5 years with the same carrier. But after that, it is a good idea to check rates elsewhere. Since we represent so many carriers, we can always shop for you to ensure you’re getting the best price.

What is a good coverage limit?

That answer is different for each person. Your liability coverage should equal or exceed your assets. The last thing you want is to have a lien placed against your home, savings or investments liquidated or future earnings garnished because your liability limits are insufficient.

What information do I need to get a quote?

Names of all insureds, address, birthdates, vehicle VIN numbers, home details, policy coverage limits will get us started. Or you can use our secure, almost instant, InsureGrid link and I can pull all of those details myself.

My homeowner’s owner policy is paid by my mortgage company. Am I allowed to change?

Yes, you are the insured on your policy. You can change carriers at any time. Even if it is mid-term, most companies process cancellations pro-rata. Whether it is home or auto, you will receive a refund of any unused premium. A few carriers do charge an early cancellation fee or a short-rate cancellation. We can help you determine if that is a possibility and if you should wait until your renewal.
